disregard（初級）

あまりにも多くの情報源から、さまざまな場所で報告されているため、無視することはできないと確信している。

意味

無視する、軽視する、という意味の動詞です。ignore と似ていますが、disregard はより意図的に「考慮しないことにする」というニュアンスがあります。名詞としては「無視・軽視」という意味でも使われます。
