flock to（初級）

意味

群れをなして集まる・押し寄せる、という意味の表現です。鳥の群れ（flock）が一斉に飛ぶイメージから、人々が特定の場所に集まる様子を表します。観光地・イベント・人気店など、人が集中する場面でよく使われます。

蒸し暑さで苦しむ・うだるような暑さの中にいる、という意味の動詞です。単なる「暑い」よりも、不快なほどの蒸し暑さや熱気の中にいるニュアンスが強いです。sweltering（蒸し暑い）という形容詞の形でもよく使われます。
